About this role

THE ROLE šŸ“Ā

We’re looking for aĀ Business Analyst with strong payments experienceĀ to join Form3’s Product team and play an important role in building out our newĀ Canadian Real-Time Rail (RTR) payment gateway.Ā

Working closely with the Product Manager, you’ll be involved from an early stage in the build, helping to understand payment scheme and business requirements and turn them into clear, actionable requirements that support the development and delivery of the product.Ā

What you’ll be doing:Ā

  • Work closely with the Product Manager to support theĀ end-to-end build and delivery of Form3’s Canadian RTR payment gateway.Ā
  • Understand and analyse payment scheme, product and business requirements, translating these into clear and actionable requirements.Ā
  • Create high-qualityĀ user stories, acceptance criteria and functional and non-functional specifications.Ā
  • Analyse the impact of product changes and enhancements and clearly document requirements to support delivery.Ā
  • Use data and analysis to provide insights and support informed product decisions.Ā
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Engineering and the wider business throughout the product development lifecycle.Ā
  • Build deep knowledge of theĀ Canadian payments ecosystem, becoming a trusted source of payments expertise for colleagues and stakeholders.Ā
  • Take ownership of key Business Analyst activities and deliverables, helping the team move from requirements through to successful product delivery.Ā

Knowledge of the wider North American payments landscape, including US schemes such asĀ FedNow or RTP, would also be valuable.Ā

EssentialĀ

  • Experience working as aĀ Business Analyst within payments, banking or FinTech.Ā
  • Strong knowledge of theĀ Canadian payments ecosystem and infrastructure, ideally including experience withĀ Interac e-TransferĀ or other Canadian payment rails.Ā
  • Experience translating complex business, product or payment scheme requirements into clearĀ user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.Ā
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, cloud technologies and modern system architectures, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and collaborate effectively with Engineering teams.Ā
  • A good understanding of theĀ product development lifecycleĀ and experience supporting products from requirements through to delivery.Ā
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience using data to support decision-making.Ā
  • ExcellentĀ stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to make complex payment concepts clear and actionable.Ā
  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ā

DesirableĀ

  • Knowledge or experience of theĀ US payments landscape, particularly real-time payment schemes such asĀ FedNow and RTP.Ā
  • Experience working withĀ real-time or instant payments.Ā
  • Broader knowledge of payment schemes, payment infrastructure and how financial institutions move money.Ā
