About this role

Drivers are housed out of Victorville and Coachella Bulk Plants.Β They are responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products (both fuels and lubricants).Β 

DUTIES:

The following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position specific duties.

  • Diligent completion of daily DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) prior to loading any products onto vehicle.
  • Safe loading of product(s) from Bulk Plant based on customer orders for that day.
  • Manage the vehicle and movement of products with strict adherence to company driving policy
  • Off-load bulk and packaged petroleum products using truck pumping systems
  • Fill in delivery tickets, calculating delivered amounts. Fill in cargo manifests, loading forms and other documents as needed.
  • Take all necessary precautions to prevent product spills or mixing of products (trans-mix)
  • Report any spills, trans-mix situations, moving violations or accidents to dispatch as they occur.Β 
  • Participate in Driver meetings as required.Β Offer advice to make improvements in any/all operational areas.

Skills and Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. 1-year Commercial driving experience, Class B.
  2. Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
  3. Petroleum Tanker experience is not required.
  4. Must have a clean DMV record with no more than two moving violations within the last five years.
  5. Must have no more than one at fault traffic collision within the last 5 years.
  6. Must possess a current Department of Transportation medical certification.
  7. Must be willing to work any shift available including nights, weekends, holidays.
