Job Description

As an already accomplished Senior Drainage BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed 3D drainage models using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with project requirements, BIM standards, and multidisciplinary coordination requirements.

It is expected to stay updated on industry trends, BIM technologies, and best practices. The minimum experience of 8–10 years is preferred in the relevant field.

BIM Modelling & Design:

  1. Handle drainage BIM modelling activities from project commencement until final delivery stage.
  2. Develop detailed 3D drainage models using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, ensuring clash-free coordination with all disciplines.
  3. Strong experience in viaduct, at-grade, and tunnel drainage systems, including stormwater drainage, tunnel drainage, track drainage, culverts, channels, manholes, catch basins, gullies, headwalls, sumps, pump stations, and associated drainage infrastructure.
  4. Prepare drainage layouts, plans, profiles, sections, schedules, coordinated drawings, and BIM deliverables based on project requirements.
  5. Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Roads, Utilities, MEP, and Architectural disciplines to achieve fully coordinated models.
  6. Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks, ACC, Revizto, or similar platforms.
  7. Support design and engineering activities during all project design and delivery stages.
  8. Ensure all models and deliverables comply with BIM standards, procedures, and client requirements.
  9. Update models and drawings based on design revisions, technical comments, and coordination requirements.
  10. Support extraction of quantities, schedules, and BIM deliverables from the model.
  11. Monitor project progress, manage model updates, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
  12. Maintain proper documentation, model revisions, clash reports, and coordination records throughout the project lifecycle.
  13. Assist the Lead Drainage Engineer in resolving technical and coordination issues.
  14. Guide and support junior BIM Modelers/Designers when required.

Design Collaboration:

  1. Capable of handling projects independently and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  2. Collaborate with Engineers, BIM Coordinators, and Design Leads to ensure timely project delivery.
  3. Participate in BIM coordination meetings, model reviews, and technical discussions.
  4. Coordinate with BIM teams to prepare and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings.
  5. Maintain accurate records of model updates, clash reports, and project correspondence.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in drainage modelling using Revit and Civil 3D software
  • Strong understanding of drainage and plumbing systems and their design principles
  • Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and AutoCAD MEP
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
