We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Designer with strong expertise in Revit MEP and electrical building services design to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about developing accurate BIM models, coordinating multidisciplinary projects, and delivering high-quality electrical designs for commercial, residential, and industrial building projects.

As an Electrical BIM Designer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating electrical BIM models, drawings, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems while maintaining compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and BIM best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while contributing to innovative, efficient, and sustainable building designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical BIM models and designs using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software.
• Prepare electrical layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform lighting design and illumination calculations using DiaLux to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure clash-free project delivery.
• Interpret project specifications, design requirements, and client standards while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and regulations.
• Conduct model reviews, identify design conflicts, and recommend practical engineering solutions to improve constructability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, design calculations, reports, and project deliverables throughout various project stages.
• Support project execution by managing design revisions, incorporating client feedback, and maintaining up-to-date BIM models.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, electrical design standards, and industry best practices to continuously improve project quality.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical BIM Design or Electrical Building Services Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for electrical design and BIM modeling.
• Experience using DiaLux for lighting calculations and electrical system optimization.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as ETABS and other BIM-related tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting design, power layouts, and industry standards.
• Solid knowledge of BIM workflows, model coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities with experience working alongside architects, consultants, and project teams.
• Exposure to sustainable building design, energy-efficient solutions, and large-scale building services projects will be considered an added advantage.
