Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday–FridayDepartment: Human ResourcesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptEmployment Type: Full-Time

Location: Lynwood, CA (100% On-Site)

The Benefits Specialist will administer the company’s employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and educational benefits, following established company procedures and in accordance with current laws and regulations. This includes tracking benefit deductions in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and making appropriate adjustments. Reconciliation and payment processing for monthly benefit invoices. Compiling, analyzing, and reporting data. Providing appropriate communication with regards to employee benefit programs, including presenting employee benefit programs during new employee orientation. Will respond to employee questions and concerns regarding the benefit plans, enrollments/changes, deductions, eligibility, reporting and processes - using professional and timely customer service skills. Local LIaison for LOA leader communication and tracking

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or at least three (3) years of professional benefit administration experience required. 2. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.3. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.

4. Ability to present to others, conduct employee benefits rounding, and troubleshoot solutions

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.50 to $45.62. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
