Descripción del empleo

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Solutions & Automation Architect with a strong background in Multi-Cloud environments (GCP & AWS) and a deep focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient public cloud solutions. You will act as the technical authority for infrastructure design, driving end-to-end automation and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust cloud architectures.

Responsibilities and duties:

Public Cloud Architecture & Implementation

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available architectures across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Build modern cloud solutions leveraging core services from both providers (e.g., Compute Engine/EC2, Cloud Storage/S3, Cloud SQL/RDS, Cloud Functions/Lambda, VPC, IAM, GKE/EKS).

  • Apply cloud best practices and align all designs with the GCP Architecture Framework and AWS Well‑Architected Framework.

Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration (Core Focus)

  • Drive end-to-end automation by designing, building, and maintaining robust IaC pipelines.

  • Master Terraform (Mandatory) to provision, manage, and scale multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring clean, modular, and reusable code.

  • Implement Ansible (Mandatory) for configuration management, application deployment, OS-level hardening, and post-provisioning automation across cloud environments.

  • Maintain consistency, traceability, and security across deployments using GitOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Cloud Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement cloud security best practices, including strict Identity and Access Management (IAM) governance, encryption at rest/in transit, and advanced network security (VPC, Firewalls, Cloud Armor, WAF).

  • Manage multi‑account and multi-project governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., AWS Organizations/Control Tower and GCP Folders/Organization Policies).

  • Participate in technical stakeholder meetings to define cloud landing zones, migration strategies, and enterprise IaC blueprints.

Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively assess cloud environments to identify and execute FinOps practices, cost-saving strategies, performance tuning, and security enhancements.

  • Promote evolving cloud-native solutions and cutting-edge automation tools to enhance architectural efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with development, operations, security, and data teams to ensure smooth infrastructure integration.

  • Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure matters, acting as a subject matter expert across the organization.

Requisitos

Mandatory technical skills:

  • Multi-Cloud Expertise: Proven hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise solutions in both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Expert Terraform: Advanced experience writing production-grade Terraform modules for both AWS and GCP providers.

  • Expert Ansible: Solid experience creating Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for complex configuration management and automation workflows.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Solid understanding of containers (Docker) and managed Kubernetes engines (GCP GKE and AWS EKS).

  • CI/CD & GitOps: Experience building and maintaining automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or cloud-native CI/CD tools).

Preferred qualifications & soft skills:

  • Cloud Certifications: Professional certifications in either cloud provider are highly valued (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business requirements into technical blueprints.

  • Communication: Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to document architectures clearly and explain technical concepts to different stakeholders.
