Overview

Group 1 Automotive is actively hiring experienced Main Line Automotive Technicians across our Tulsa-area dealerships, including South Pointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, South Pointe Chevrolet, South Pointe Honda, and BMW of Tulsa.

We're looking for bumper-to-bumper technicians with strong diagnostic abilities and experience working on electrical systems, drivability concerns, engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brake systems. As a Main Line Technician, you'll work in a professional dealership environment with consistent customer-pay work, manufacturer training, modern diagnostic equipment, and leadership teams that understand the value of skilled technicians. Responsibilities

  • Tackle advanced diagnostics and complex repairs that keep your skills sharp and your earning potential high.
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, drivability concerns, HVAC, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
  • Leverage the latest diagnostic technology, manufacturer resources, and shop equipment to solve difficult vehicle issues.
  • Own your workload by managing repair orders, prioritizing workflow, and delivering quality repairs the first time.
  • Provide detailed documentation and recommendations to support customer confidence and repair accuracy.
  • Partner with Service Advisors to ensure clear communication and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain strong productivity, efficiency, and quality standards while maximizing flat-rate opportunities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to expand your skills and advance your career.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional shop environment that supports technician success.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
  • Proven ability to run your own bay independently
  • Strong diagnostic skills with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Electrical systems
    • Engine and drivability diagnostics
    • Suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC systems
  • Experience performing major repairs in an OEM dealership setting
  • Own professional‑grade tools required for main line technician work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Master Technicians and advanced diagnostic techs are strongly encouraged to apply

 

Pay, Compensation & Benefits:

  • $30+ per flat hour for experienced Main Line Technicians
  • $50+ per flat hour for Master‑Level Technicians
  • Pay is based on experience, skill level, certifications, and performance
  • Certification‑based pay increases as you progress in your career
