Department: College of Nursing

Reports To: Dean

Travel: Day-4/month; Overnight-2/month

Positions Supervised: Direct supervision of benefit eligible and part-time faculty and benefit eligible and part-time support employees.

LOCATION: Green Bay, WI

STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other hours, as necessary.

START DATE: January 2027

PAY RANGE: $105,768 - $110,000

*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY  

Serve as an instructional leader responsible for advancing teaching excellence in alignment with College frameworks (faculty competencies, Guided Pathways, Institutional Learning Outcomes (ILOs), etc.).  Under the direction of an academic dean, translate the College’s strategic and operational priorities into practice.  Through faculty hiring, evaluation, coaching, and program review processes, ensure high-quality teaching, meaningful assessment of student learning, effective resource allocation, and continuous improvement of instruction that values all students.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

Academic Quality & Instruction  

  • Ensure the implementation of industry-aligned and transfer-ready curriculum across programs and courses, ensuring students have access to high-wage/high-value pathways. 

  • Lead and support all faculty in establishing regular, high-quality assessment of learning. In collaboration with the Center for Faculty Development and Innovation, advance consistent faculty use of evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to address all student needs across all locations and modalities. 

  • To operationalize the continuous improvement of instruction, lead faculty and teams through program review and annual desk review processes, using these as opportunities to elevate teaching and strengthen student learning. 

  • Leverage assessment data and work with faculty for course and program improvement opportunities. 

  • Lead faculty through annual assessment planning and reporting focused on continuous improvement of student learning. 

  • Ensure compliance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), and discipline-specific accreditation bodies. 

Faculty Leadership & Talent Development  

  • Cultivate an engaged and high performing team through effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, communication, and professional development while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture. 

  • Conduct performance reviews and classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness, provide meaningful feedback, establish performance expectations, and support continuous improvement in teaching practice and student learning outcomes.  

  • Collaborate with Talent & Culture to attract, recruit, and onboard qualified faculty who are committed to student success. 

Academic Operations & Resource Management  

  • Make recommendations with regard to budgeting and resource allocation to prioritize impactful and sustainable use of resources. 

  • Oversee facility use, equipment procurement, and scheduling for program needs to ensure learning environments effectively support teaching and learning and program needs. 

  • Determine faculty workload and provide recommendations regarding course scheduling to meet student needs across the district.  

  • Align departmental work with college and academic division strategies, connecting everyday operations to student success priorities. 

Student Support & Academic Administration 

  • Support a consistent set of processes and policies for student conduct, including managing challenging student classroom behavior and code of conduct infractions, as well as for student grievances and complaints.  

  • Ensure faculty and program teams work to maintain a safe and secure learning environment. 

College & Community Engagement 

  • Participate in college committees to influence academic policies and decision-making.  

  • As directed by Academic Dean, engage with advisory committees to facilitate conversation to inform programs. 

  • As directed by Academic Dean, operationalize K12 work.  

  • Based on program vitality data, provide input to the dean regarding an academic portfolio that reflects the needs of the region.   

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS  

Minimum Qualification  

Education  

  • Master's degree required or a bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain a master's degree within an established timeframe as a condition of employment. 

Experience 

  • Five years of teaching, training, or instructional experience, with demonstrated effectiveness in facilitating learning, in a discipline or a related discipline to the program(s) supervised.  

Preferred Qualifications  

Experience  

  • Teaching experience in a community or technical college setting  

  • Two years’ occupational experience outside the field of education 

Computer Skills  

  • Microsoft Office Suite  

Other Requirements  

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
