Job Description

Endava is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Data Engineer to fill an immediate need. This individual will work with the technical team and internal clients to understand and analyze requirements to build and support data initiatives. The candidate will have experience designing and developing highly scalable data solutions with a strong understanding of the Data Engineering operating environments. This role requires an individual who has a passion for technology and media and is looking to apply this to further their experience in real-world business scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active participation in discussions and provides insights about processes and solutions.
  • Responsible for intermediate tasks related to core practice, ensuring effective and timely completion.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in processes and helping to adapt processes.
  • Develop and manage team documentation and conduct peer reviews as scoped.
  • Follow compliance guidelines and standards, identify potential problems, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams within the project, understanding and integrating feedback from different stakeholders.
  • Mentor trainee engineers, guiding them through tasks and helping them understand core concepts.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • 3-5 years of progressive software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with Python
  • Strong experience within AWS cloud ecosystem
  • Experience with any MPP database technology
  • Experience with agile methodologies is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts
  • Skilled in time management and meeting timelines
  • Strong teamwork, contributing effectively to team goals
  • Thrive in hybrid work settings
  • Effective communicator, skilled at influencing team discussions
  • Basic understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards
  • Able to stay ahead of the curve with new and emerging technologies
  • Experience in ad tech is a strong plus

  • Warehouse/Lakehouse: Snowflake, AWS Redshift
  • Orchestration/Pipelines: Airflow
  • Transformation/Modelling: DBT
  • Observability/Analytics:  AWS QuickSight
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
