O’Hagan Meyer is seeking a Litigation Associate with at least 2-3 years of experience in commercial and/or general liability litigation to join its Norfolk VA office. Experience in business & commercial litigation, general liability, labor & employment, medical malpractice defense, and products liability is a plus.

Salary range:  $125K - $140K

Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

  • This role requires legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents, taking and defending depositions, representing clients in mediation, drafting and answering discovery requests, trial preparation and trial assistance.
  • Experience with both state and federal courts preferred, as well as state and federal administrative agencies.
  • This position also requires the ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues in an effective manner.
  • This position will require some local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Admission to the state bar of Virginia is required
