About the Role

Reports to: Josh Kaplan, CEO

I'm Josh, co-founder and CEO of Smooth, and I am hiring someone to work directly with me.

Part of my job is to bring in opportunities, sign great creators, lead our Creator Managers team, and build what Smooth looks like 18 months from now. I'm hiring you to make more of my week go toward those things, and less of it go to everything else.

This is the closest seat to how a company actually gets built. 

What you'll do

• Help me lead the Creator Manager team — sit in on my trainings, turn them into SOPs and onboarding that work without me in the room, and build the documentation the department has been missing
• Keep my key accounts moving — I manage a few of our top talent directly, and I need help executing the action items from our regular syncs and the projects in between
• Support creator acquisition — research the creators we want to sign, brief me before I talk to them, and help me stay in front of the ones who matter
• Help me stay connected — surface who I haven't connected with in a while, tee up outreach, get it on my calendar, and keep our CRM current so none of it lives only in my head
• Run the day to day — own the admin, travel, and personal logistics that keep the week moving

What we're looking for

• You're hungry — no specific experience required, we care more about drive and fit than resume (fresh out of school or ten years in and ready for a pivot, both work)
• You write clearly — a lot of this job is turning messy thinking into something another person can follow (very anti-AI slop over here)
• You're curious about creators and the internet — we're hoping you already have opinions about who's good
• Must be NYC-based (in office Mon-Thurs) and available for evenings and occasional weekends around event dates

What we can offer

• Base salary: $70,000–$85,000
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• Unlimited PTO (mandatory 10 days per year minimum)
