Job Summary

Pandorum Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Optometrist to support clinical and ophthalmic activities within the SP CORE team. The candidate will be responsible for routine ophthalmic assessments, operation of diagnostic equipment, accurate clinical measurements, imaging, documentation, and coordination with the clinical and research team.

Key Responsibilities

    • Perform routine comprehensive optometric and ophthalmic assessments.
    • Assess visual acuity, refraction, keratometry, and other basic visual parameters.
    • Perform slit-lamp examination and document anterior segment findings.
    • Independently perform OCT examinations and ensure proper image acquisition and scan quality.
    • Perform Pentacam examinations, including corneal tomography, topography, pachymetry, and other relevant parameters.
    • Operate and handle ophthalmic diagnostic instruments appropriately.
    • Ensure accurate, reproducible, and high-quality imaging and clinical measurements.
    • Identify poor-quality scans or imaging artefacts and repeat examinations when required.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data.
    • Assist ophthalmologists and research personnel during patient examinations and follow-up visits.
    • Perform baseline and follow-up assessments according to clinical/research protocols.
    • Maintain proper documentation of clinical findings and investigation results.
    • Follow established SOPs, clinical protocols, and quality-control procedures.
    • Coordinate with the clinical and research teams for smooth execution of assigned activities.
    • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of patient and research data.

Required Qualification

    • B.Optom / M.Optom or equivalent qualification in Optometry from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum 2โ€“3 years of relevant professional experience in optometry or ophthalmic clinical practice. Freshers will not be considered.
    • Strong practical knowledge of routine ophthalmic examination procedures.

Essential Technical Skills

The candidate must have hands-on experience with:
    • Slit-lamp biomicroscopy
    • OCT
    • Pentacam
    • Visual acuity and refraction
    • Keratometry
    • Basic anterior segment assessment
    • Clinical documentation and patient data management

Preferred Skills

    • Experience in corneal/anterior segment assessment.
    • Experience in ophthalmic clinical research or hospital-based ophthalmology.
    • Ability to acquire high-quality and reproducible ophthalmic images.
    • Good computer and data-recording skills.
    • Good communication and patient-handling abilities.
    • Ability to work independently as well as with ophthalmologists and multidisciplinary teams.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be clinically experienced, technically competent, detail-oriented, and comfortable independently operating ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, particularly slit lamp, OCT, and Pentacam.
