About this role

Join us as an Assistant Manager, DevOps and lead our cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations. Oversee cloud environments to ensure performance, security, and scalability, while guiding a skilled team toward operational excellence.

The Job:

1. DevOps Architecture & CI/CD Leadership

  • Lead the design and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines to support efficient code integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Define best practices for automated build, release, and deployment processes across development teams.
  • Oversee reliable code delivery across development, staging, and production environments.

2. Infrastructure Automation & Cloud Platform Management

  • Lead infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS environments and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes – EKS/ECS).
  • Continuously improve infrastructure architecture, scalability, and automation practices.

3. Monitoring, Reliability & Performance Optimisation

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high platform availability and operational visibility.
  • Drive performance optimisation across applications and infrastructure to support scalable SaaS environments.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.

4. Security & Operational Governance

  • Integrate security best practices into infrastructure design and deployment pipelines.
  • Ensure infrastructure and deployment processes align with security and compliance requirements.
  • Support security reviews, audits, and operational risk mitigation.

5. Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with software engineering, QA, product, and operations teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide DevOps expertise during system architecture discussions and technical planning.
  • Promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams.

6. DevOps Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor DevOps engineers and support their technical development.
  • Establish standards for infrastructure documentation, deployment workflows, and operational processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and platform operations.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6–9 years of hands-on DevOps experience, preferably in cloud-native or SaaS environments.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, container orchestration (Kubernetes – EKS/ECS), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent).
  • Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in modern cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools for distributed systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, container platforms, and deployment pipelines.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Ability to lead DevOps initiatives and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on technically.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams.
