Overview
Reports to: Manager, BSA/AML
Functions Supervised: Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) processes for the credit union and its service organizations (CUSOs) (referred to collectively as the Enterprise).
Primary Functions: The BSA/AML Transaction Monitoring Manager leads and oversees the daily operations of the enterprise’s transaction monitoring activities. This includes managing key regulatory reporting for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and Designation of Exempt Person (DOEP) filings. The manager ensures that suspicious activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit financial activities are promptly, accurately, and compliantly identified, investigated, and reported.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, information technology, or a related field is required. An advanced degree and/or a relevant professional certification, such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), is preferred.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Four years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Experience/Skills: Minimum of six years of experience supporting BSA/AML activities for large financial institutions. Expert knowledge of all BSA/AML related regulations. Proven experience in overseeing compliance program development and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Strong quantitative and analytical skills in problem-solving and planning situations. Ability to manage risk models and familiarity with BSA/AML monitoring software. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to any level of the organization. Proficient in project management with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written information (e.g., legal documents, government regulations, and professional publications) and apply it to existing processes to make timely, informed decisions considering relevant facts, goals, constraints, and risks. Ability to understand, analyze, and articulate business line data to support program initiatives. Proven track record of working well and influencing peers, as well as members of a senior management team. Flexible approach to new projects, requirements, and workplace demands. Proficiency in MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel is required. Impeccable ethical reputation and strong emotional intelligence.

Compensation
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.
