About this role
The main role of a process engineer is to design, monitor, optimize, and improve manufacturing process to ensure they run safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- Process Optimization: Design and improve fabrication such as Wafer Saw, Die Attach, Wirebond, etc.
- Data Analysis & Troubleshooting: Use statistical tools to analyze production data, find root causes of defects, and fix yield issues.
- Experimentation: Plan and run tests (Design of Experiments or DOE) to test new materials, tools, or methods.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with equipment, quality, and design teams to launch new products and support smooth fab operations.
- Documentation: Write and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), cleanroom protocols, and root-cause analysis tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional communication and project management capabilities.
