Job Summary
The Application Administrator I at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and administering various business applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and user satisfaction. This role involves basic troubleshooting, user support, and contributing to application-related projects under supervision.

Job Responsibilities
* Provide first-level support for application-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving user problems or escalating to appropriate teams when necessary.
* Perform routine application maintenance tasks, such as monitoring system health, managing user accounts, and conducting data backups.
* Assist in the configuration and deployment of application updates, patches, and new releases following established procedures.
* Document application configurations, support procedures, and user guides.
* Collaborate with senior administrators and IT teams to identify and resolve application performance issues.
* Support end-users with application access, usage, and basic training.
* Participate in testing new application functionalities or system changes.
* Adhere to Jabil's IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.

Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
* 0-2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably with exposure to application administration.
* Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
* Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.

  • Monitor application availability, performance, and system alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Support application integrations with other enterprise systems and assist in troubleshooting data flow issues.
  • Execute and validate user access requests while ensuring compliance with security and audit requirements.
  • Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) activities for recurring application incidents and system outages.
  • Create and maintain application reports, dashboards, and queries based on business requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams to resolve application-related issues.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Support manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and business operations teams by ensuring application reliability and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, configurations, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations when required.


Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience supporting ERP, MES, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or other enterprise applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, user provisioning, and access management processes.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles, incident management, and change management processes.
  • Exposure to PowerShell, scripting, automation, or low-code platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, SharePoint, or cloud-based business applications is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze application logs and identify trends to support issue resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
