Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Anesthesia Technician, you will provide critical support in the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia, assisting providers with equipment and supplies for diverse surgical and non-surgical cases.Every day, you will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications before, during, and after cases. This includes performing complex procedures under direction (e.g., setting up and assisting with line placement, intubation, extubation), managing supply inventory, room turnover, and patient positioning/transport.To be successful in this vital role, you will demonstrate a thorough understanding of anesthesia equipment and sterile techniques, possess meticulous attention to detail, and exhibit excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Supports medical staff directly in patient assessment, treatment, and critical care procedures.
- Manages and troubleshoots invasive monitoring, assists in emergencies, and ensures sterile catheter placement.
- Handles patient-specific needs during surgery (blood, meds, supplies) and verifies patient identification.
- Operates surgical equipment and maintains stock levels in various clinical areas.
- Collaborates with supply logistics to manage anesthesia product inventory.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School GED and EMT experience, Paramedic experience or military Medic, upon hire and
- CNA or PCT training program, upon hire or
- Completion of fundamentals as a nursing student and 12 months of acute care (bedside) experience, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
