Job Summary:

This Analyst role is in the Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) of MUFG Bank Ltd. The role will report to the Vice President, Head of GFCD IM Program Governance Department. This role will be focused on supporting the administration and execution of the GFCD Issues Management (IM) Department, including by developing through the development and maintenance of procedures, governance documentation, training materials communications and job aids. This role will partner with global stakeholders to drive consistent implementation of IM requirements, support governance forums, and contribute to program enhancements and strategic initiatives across MUFG’s global network. Success in this role requires strong writing, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, concise, and actionable documentation.

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Gain familiarity across all three of the MUFG financial crimes compliance lines of defense, including core second-line programs in Financial Crimes (Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption) and Core Compliance, business functions, Internal Audit, Compliance Testing, and Exam & Audit Management in furtherance of Issues Management policy, standard, and procedure implementation and execution.

  • Assist the subject matter expertise with the review, development, enhancement and implementation of Issues Management policies, standards, procedures, and control documentation.

 

  • Collaborate with regional offices to align global and regional requirements for Issues Management policy and procedures, including review & challenge processes.

 

  • Coordinate and liaise with global stakeholders to promote consistent execution of GFCD policies and policies across all three MUFG lines of defense.

 

  • Support compliance activities and perform program duties, including strategic transformation initiatives, special projects and ad hoc duties assigned.

Qualifications:
• BBA/ BA/BS Degree required

• 1-3 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Financial Crimes Compliance or Risk Management areas.
• Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Office Suite of applications
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented approach to completing objectives
• Strong ability to drive complex discussions with MUFG management and stakeholders

The typical base pay range for this role is between $70K - $82K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
