Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Material Management Analyst to join our Supply Chain team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end material movements, Goods Receipts (GR), and Post Goods Issues (PGI) to enable regional teams for revenue generation and timely month-end closure.

The ideal candidate will act as a critical bridge between Logistics, Procurement, and Finance, ensuring absolute data integrity within SAP, supporting internal audit compliance, and maintaining seamless global stock visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Material Operations & Transactional Excellence

  • Execute end-to-end material management activities, including Goods Receipts (GR) and Post Goods Issues (PGI) in SAP.
  • Cross-verify logistics documentation against Purchase Orders (POs) using 2-way and 3-way matching principles before processing quantities.
  • Conduct bi-weekly reviews of overdue PO cases with Buyers to ensure swift resolution.
  • Actively monitor open PO lifecycles and follow up with procurement stakeholders to gather documentation for prompt closure.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of global plant locations by region to optimize visibility into stock movements.

Material & Inventory Management

  • Coordinate across multiple geographies and time zones to ensure seamless material movement and system alignment.
  • Investigate root causes for delivery delays, quantity shortages, or receipt discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure 100% compliant documentation for all material receipts to support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Archive all receipted documents systematically in SharePoint for management and audit visibility.

Logistics & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with logistics partners to track shipments and ensure timely system capture of material receipts for downstream stock consumption.
  • Monitor daily logistics operations and resolve shipment-related challenges, escalating critical issues only during high-stakes month-end closure periods.
  • Partner closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Finance (Audit), and Logistics teams to align operations with organizational objectives.
  • Support continuous procurement process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain operations, specifically focusing on Logistics and Material Movements.
  • Technical ERP Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP (specifically PO verification, GR/PGI transaction codes, and material ledger tracking).
  • Month-End Closure: Proven exposure to working alongside inventory and finance teams during high-pressure month-end closures.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for identifying documentation discrepancies and supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling) and supply chain reporting tools.
  • Foundational knowledge of supply planning and inventory optimization concepts.
  • Prior exposure to or participation in lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement/automation projects.

Education & Certifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, ISM) are highly preferred.
