AI Engineer Intern - Firm, Oslo/Munich, 2026/2027

FSN Capital Partners are offering an internship opportunity in our Oslo or Munich office, starting September 2026 or January 2027.

The internship duration is 6-12 months, depending on mutual agreement. Full-time or part-time (~50%) commitment. Please indicate your preferences in your application.

About the opportunity

As an AI Engineer Intern in Finance & Ops at FSN, you work directly with the investment and finance teams, on the firm's own processes and its own data. We think the next generation of private equity will run on tech & AI. We pick your projects when you join, based on what needs doing and what you are good at. We work mainly in Python and Go, on Google Cloud Platform.

The problems look like this for the Firm:

• Long-horizon autonomy: agents that hold context across the firm's monthly financial cycle for months at a time, and whose mistakes end up in the accounts
• Proving an agent got it right: an eval harness for AI-assisted due diligence, scored against deals we have already closed and know the answers to
• Multi-agent pipelines under adversarial review: agents that read the data room, then draft and revise decision material that a deal team will challenge line by line
• Finding the work that comes with an answer key: some workflows resolve cleanly enough that you can grade an agent against them; finding those, and instrumenting them, is the work
  
  

Around 20% of your time will go to FSN Labs, the firm's internal research track, where new models, runtimes, and papers are tested against our own benchmarks before anything reaches production. Ask us about them in the interview.

Who we are looking for

• A background in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative field
• Hands-on depth with LLMs and agents, from having built something and pushed it to the point where it stopped working 
• An interest in private equity and in understanding the businesses behind the data and the decisions your work feeds into
• The ability to take apart a system you have never seen, and to defend your reasoning when it is challenged

How to stand out

• Top of your class, or evidence that grades undersell you
• Measurable excellence, such as olympiads, competitions, research, or a repo people actually use
• Experience with Go, Python, and Google Cloud
• A piece of work you scoped, built, and answered for once others depended on it
