About our Customer & Marketing Engineering Team

In the Kiwi.com Customer & Marketing Engineering team, we focus on building intelligent systems that drive how we interact with millions of global travelers. Working with a Google Cloud-native stack, our mission is to leverage cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and semantic search to personalize travel discovery and campaign automation. We build for depth and speed, deploying models that have an immediate business impact and directly shape the customer journey.

What you will do

• Build and deploy intelligent features that enhance customer segmentation, targeting, and marketing performance.

• Work with advanced vector databases like Vertex AI Vector Search and pgvector to support embedding storage and high-scale similarity search.

• Contribute to core data models in BigQuery, mapping complex customer behaviors and campaign interactions.

• Maintain and optimize retrieval pipelines that integrate directly with our CRM, CDP, and marketing automation platforms.

• Develop AI services on Google Cloud Platform using modern tools such as Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.

• Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to turn fresh ideas into production-ready software features.

• Write clean, fully tested code while actively participating in engineering design and code reviews to accelerate your own growth.

• Experiment with new AI tools and techniques, keeping our engineering workflows at the cutting edge.

What you will need

• Some hands-on experience in software, data, or machine learning engineering (including high-impact projects or internships).

• Solid programming fundamentals in Python along with a clean code mindset.

• Strong SQL skills and a genuine interest in relational or dimensional data modeling.

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as embeddings, large language models (LLMs), or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• A strong bias for action and automation, thriving in a fast-moving environment where we value speed over perfection and iterate in real-time.

• Intellectual curiosity and high ownership over your technical growth, with a readiness to take on increasingly complex problems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English language to ensure smooth, clear collaboration within international teams.
