Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Agriculture Graduate to join our team based at our UK Head Office in Prescot, Liverpool.  

This isn't just a standard graduate scheme—it’s a hands-on, 2-year development programme designed to give you a complete, ground-up understanding of our global Agriculture division. You’ll play a pivotal role in linking global supply chains through trusted compliance and risk management—helping meet the world's demand for food safety, efficient production, sustainability, and traceability.  

It’s a dynamic, highly varied position combining technical learning, project delivery, and direct client engagement across Precision Agriculture markets and multinational commodity organisations. Best of all, you'll gain direct exposure to international field operations with exciting opportunities for overseas travel, experiencing our global operations first-hand.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Essential

• An understanding of agronomy, and global agricultural trade is desirable
• An ambition to build a long-term, successful career within the agricultural industry.
• A growth mindset with a proactive, cooperative attitude toward personal development and learning.
• Ability to take initiative, lead projects, and prioritize a dynamic, diverse workload.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to engage effectively with internal and external global stakeholders.
• Organised, dependable, and motivated by seeing tasks through to completion while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to handle change and undertake regular travel (including global overseas visits to field operations).
  

Required Competencies

• Collaborative team player confident in forming strong working relationships across diverse cultures.
• Highly adaptable with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and research-minded.

Required Work Experience

• Previous internship or initial professional work experience in the agricultural industry is desirable, but not essential.

Required Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Business Management, or a related discipline (minimum 2:1 grade or above).
