WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Advocacy Programming Manager is a key member of each brand's advocacy team and is responsible for the development, management, and execution of advocacy programming that supports brand and business objectives. The role works in partnership with Advocacy Managers, National Brand Ambassadors, and cross-functional agency departments to bring advocacy initiatives to life through strategic planning, collaboration, and exceptional execution.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Successful candidates are proactive, collaborative, and capable of exercising sound judgment while balancing competing priorities and building trusted relationships with clients, agency partners, and advocacy team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, management, and execution of Iconic advocacy programming including account level advocacy programs, brand home trips and larger national trade activations (Moments That Matter)
  • Partner with Advocacy Manager and National Brand Ambassadors to develop programming recommendations and deliver against brand objectives.
  • Participate in the advocacy briefing process by contributing insights, recommendations, and programming solutions.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, partnerships, and industry trends that may inform future programming initiatives.
  • Build and present playbooks, presentations, timelines, and supporting materials required for successful execution.
  • Document programming learnings, performance, outcomes, and opportunities through recaps and reporting. 
  • Coordinate internal and external partners to ensure programs are delivered effectively, on time, and within budget.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions to support successful execution.
  • Build strong relationships with Brand teams, the Advocacy Manager, National Brand Ambassadors, internal and external agency partners.
  • Present recommendations, updates, and program results in a professional and compelling manner.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets, estimates, and accruals.
  • Maintain visibility into programming opportunities and market learnings, sharing insights that may benefit future initiatives and other brands.
  • Participate in strategy and creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of advocacy programming processes, tools, and resources.
  • Practice and ensure compliance with all TEAM, Bacardi, and legal requirements.

WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or Canva with the ability to build polished, client-ready presentations, playbooks, and templates.
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, including budgeting, trackers, timelines, and data organization.
  • Proficiency in Canva for creating simple graphics and presentation assets.
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing experiential marketing or advocacy programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, estimates, and financial tracking.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments and functions.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to contribute to strategy development, brainstorming, and program design.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively develop recommendations.
  • Passion for the beverage alcohol industry and a strong understanding of on-premise culture and trade engagement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and navigating multiple stakeholder groups.
