About this role

As an Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and executing advanced test methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of aerospace products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications, analyze test data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive innovation and excellence in aerospace testing.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Woburn, MA location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of aerospace projects by ensuring that all test activities meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements, ultimately contributing to the safety, reliability, and performance of Honeywell’s aerospace solutions.

  • Design and maintain automated test software for ATE systems using LabVIEW, Python, C, C++, and Visual Basic to improve efficiency and data integrity 
  • Analyze customer specifications to define test requirements, configurations, and acceptance criteria for RF and microelectronics testing 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including ATE configurations, fixtures, and software/hardware interfaces 
  • Perform RF characterization of MMIC/semiconductor devices, including S-parameters, output power, noise figure, and two-tone measurements 
  • Set up, calibrate, and execute RF test systems and on-wafer probe testing using appropriate standards 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex RF circuits independently using strong microwave theory knowledge 
  • Conduct statistical analysis and generate detailed technical reports on test results and performance 
  • Manage laboratory operations, including test databases, equipment calibration, asset tracking, and vendor procurement support

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 4 years of experience in test engineering, preferably within aerospace or defense industry
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Active government issued security clearance (secrete)
  • Experience developing ATE software and operating RF test equipment, including PNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, noise figure analyzers, power supplies, and RF calibration standards
  • Strong RF characterization expertise for MMIC and hybrid RF technology
  • Proficiency interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and applying core electronics and microwave fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with RF test fixtures, PCB design, and assembly, including wire bonding of MMIC devices for test readiness
  • Ability to perform precision work under a microscope
  • Familiarity with DoD/military qualification and testing standards
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally while also operating independently with accountability and initiative
  • Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset, with strong organizational and time management skills in dynamic environments

Salary Pay Range      

The annual base salary range for this position is $114,000 - $142,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
