ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT

Are you an organized, compassionate professional with exceptional customer service skills? We are seeking an ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT to serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families. In this vital role, you'll help guide individuals through the admissions process, provide outstanding support, and ensure every new resident experiences a welcoming and seamless transition into our community.
What You'll Do
As our ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT, you will:
- Welcome residents, families, and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and compassion.
- Guide prospective residents and families through the admissions process, answering questions and providing exceptional customer service.
- Prepare and process all required admission documentation while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain organized admission records and ensure all regulatory timelines are met.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally, accurately documenting and relaying messages.
- Respond to inquiries from residents, families, referral sources, and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and perform general administrative support duties.
- Collaborate closely with the Admissions Director and interdisciplinary team to ensure a positive admission experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting residents and their families.

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of an Admissions Coordinator include:
- Business Administration degree and/or 3-5 years related experience in long-term care
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the admission process within a nursing facility
- Empathy for the needs of individuals and families during the transition process
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
