About the Opportunity
Mills College at Northeastern University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach a course in the Intro to Ethnic Studies course on the Oakland campus in the Fall 2026 Semester academic term. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe.
Responsibilities:
Mills College of Northeastern University is seeking an applicant to teach the following course:
INMI 1051: Intro to Ethnic Studies (4 credits)
Responsibilities include: Developing assignments, assessments and a course schedule to meet required learning outcomes; developing a syllabus; developing and delivering course content using the Mills College at Northeastern teaching and learning platforms and facilities; holding appropriate office hours; completing Heliocampus assessment requirements; engaging with departmental and university part-time faculty obligations as required.
This course will be taught in person on the Mills College at Northeastern campus in Oakland, California. The per credit rate is $2,435.76.
Qualifications:
M.A. required, Ph.D. or doctorate in related field preferred. Preference will be given to those in teaching large groups of students and students with different needs.
