Activities Assistant / Life Enrichment Assistant (Senior Living)

Full-Time: 30 Per Week & Alternating Weekends required.  Shift is 9am - 5pm.

American House is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant (Life Enrichment Assistant) to help create engaging programs, meaningful experiences, and memorable moments for residents in our senior living community.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in senior living, assisted living, recreation, hospitality, customer service, education, event planning, or community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging resident activities and life enrichment programs
• Facilitate social, recreational, educational, spiritual, and wellness-focused events
• Coordinate crafts, games, music programs, exercise activities, and holiday celebrations
• Assist with community outings, excursions, and special events
• Promote resident participation and engagement within the community
• Welcome and orient new residents, helping them build meaningful connections
• Utilize technology, including iPads and social media, to showcase resident experiences
• Decorate and prepare community spaces for seasonal and holiday events
• Assist with volunteer coordination and community outreach initiatives
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, families, and guests
• Support a positive, inclusive, and vibrant community atmosphere

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, customer service, hospitality, recreation, childcare, education, or event planning preferred
• Outgoing, friendly, and energetic personality
• Creative thinker who enjoys planning activities and engaging others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, social media, and basic computer applications
• Ability to multitask, organize events, and work independently
• Passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences
• Weekend availability required
