About this role
*This is a 6-month contract position paid through a third party company.*
Duties
- Develop creative, proactive sourcing strategies utilizing advanced search methods, social media and professional networks.
- Identify and engage with top professionals who may not be actively looking for a job.
- Review potential leads and initiate phone calls to assess interest levels.
- Conduct phone screens to determine individual qualifications in relation with open positions.
- Work alongside talent acquisition specialist with panel interviews through the onboarding process.
- Must perform duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the road commission for Oakland County.
- Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
- Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
Special Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Development, Human Resource Administration, Education or related field.
- Must have at least 5 years of full-time experience with active recruiting.
- Possess strong planning, organizational and written/verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in hiring union employees or engineers (civil) a plus.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver’s license.
