Job Description

As an Accounting & Tax Manager, you oversee Entain Belgium’s accounting and tax activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information and compliance with applicable requirements. Your scope covers general and analytical accounting, taxation, treasury, intercompany transactions and payroll. You support the Accounting Officers and collaborate with Finance teams, Group stakeholders and external partners to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations.

ACCOUNTING & CLOSING

  • Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger.
  • Supervise general and analytical accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany and inter-local transactions.
  • Coordinate and review monthly and annual accounting closing activities.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and investigate and resolve any accounting discrepancies.

TAX & REPORTING

  • Manage direct tax matters, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and applicable tax reporting and filing requirements, such as Form 50.
  • Manage indirect tax matters, including VAT compliance, tax filings (e.g. Betting Taxes), and related accounting activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external tax stakeholders and provide the required information for tax filings, tax audits and reviews.

TREASURY, PAYROLL & TRANSACTIONS

  • Oversee treasury management activities and contribute to monitoring cash levels.
  • Act as the main point of contact for banks.
  • Manage and monitor intercompany transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment, reconciliation and documentation.
  • Manage and reconcile inter-local transactions.
  • Oversee payroll-related accounting activities and ensure the proper recording and reconciliation of payroll-related transactions.

COMPLIANCE, CONTROLS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Ensure compliance with Belgian accounting requirements and the Group’s internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing the required accounting and tax documentation.

Qualifications

 

PROFILE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional experience.
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems, ERP and BI tools; experience with Oracle is a plus (e.g. SAP, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Knowledge of AI applications in Finance is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Structured, accurate and quality-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication, presentation and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, as well as French or Dutch.
