Accounting Manager – U.S. GAAP, QuickBooks & Multi-Client Accounting | Remote LATAM

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Location: LATAM
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST
Compensation: $1,800–$4,000 USD/month, with flexibility for exceptional candidates

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients — a rapidly growing U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm founded by professionals with backgrounds in private equity and investment banking — is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager.

The firm partners with small and mid-sized U.S. businesses, helping owners make better financial decisions through accurate accounting, insightful reporting, and operational excellence.

This is a high-ownership, client-facing accounting role for someone who can confidently manage multiple U.S.-based clients simultaneously.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting blue-collar and service-based businesses, including:

You’ll own core accounting processes while working directly with business owners and company leadership.

What You’ll Own

Multi-Client Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Own month-end close across multiple U.S.-based client accounts
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Manage:
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
  • Ensure accounting deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Apply U.S. GAAP across client financial reporting

Payroll & U.S. Sales Tax Compliance

  • Process payroll accurately across client accounts
  • Manage employee onboarding within payroll systems
  • Prepare and submit U.S. state sales tax filings
  • Track client-specific compliance requirements and deadlines
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Build custom financial reports and dashboards for business owners
  • Analyze financial performance and identify:
    • Trends
    • Risks
    • Variances
    • Opportunities
  • Support:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Cash flow planning
  • Translate accounting and financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Confidently explain financial performance to non-financial business owners

Process Improvement

  • Document accounting processes, workflows, and procedures
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Help standardize accounting procedures across multiple client engagements
  • Improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across accounting operations
  • Support stronger financial controls and reporting processes

Client & Founder Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted accounting partner to U.S. business owners
  • Participate in regular check-ins with company leadership
  • Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outstanding items proactively
  • Manage competing client deadlines independently
  • Take ownership of problems through resolution
  • Deliver a responsive and professional client experience

Requirements – Must Have

Accounting Experience

  • 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience
  • Experience managing accounting for multiple U.S.-based clients simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with:
    • Month-end close
    • Financial reporting
    • AP and AR
    • General Ledger
    • Payroll
    • U.S. state sales tax
  • Experience supporting U.S. business owners in a client-facing capacity

Industry Experience

Strong preference for candidates who have supported businesses in:

  • Construction
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Roofing
  • Landscaping
  • Home services
  • Other blue-collar or field-service industries

QuickBooks

Hands-on experience with:

  • QuickBooks Online — required
  • QuickBooks Desktop / Enterprise — required

Advanced Excel

Strong proficiency with:

  • Pivot Tables

  • INDEX/MATCH

  • Advanced formulas
  • Financial reporting and analysis
