Overview

With several global shared service hubs, our Cyberjaya office serves as a key finance and accounting competency center. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Cyberjaya.

 

The Accounting  Manager will lead a team responsible for end-to-end accounting operations across assigned regions or countries. This includes oversight of payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, operating expenses (OPEX), and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure all financial requirements and reporting obligations are met for assigned countries
  • Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, setting departmental goals, establishing individual objectives, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex accounting issues and guide the team in resolving them.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Support the Controller and business leaders with monthly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reviews.
  • Contribute to consolidated financial analysis and provide fluctuation commentary.
  • Manage internal control testing and support both internal and external audits, including statutory and quarterly reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams on annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, ad-hoc reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an accounting firm or multinational corporation
  • Experience in a managerial or team lead role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a recognized professional qualification
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and policies
  • Proficient in the full close process, including journal entries, invoicing, accruals, expense distribution, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in business controls and process improvement is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
