About this role

The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for the assigned product group sales within the assigned country/countries. This position has accountability and authority for both direct and distributor sales activities for consumables and equipment in the mentioned territory and to develop new business opportunities in accordance with global strategic business unit strategy.
  • Lead in the execution of the Consumables and Equipment & Instruments (E&I) sales/marketing plan to effectively promote and sell the products.
  • Identify and satisfy customer requirements by communicating the value of consumables and E&I products.
  • Establish strong business relationships with our distributors and key customers.
  • Develop, train, manage and motivate our distribution channel on consumables and E&I products and services.
  • Implement sales opportunities with consumables and E&I Application & solution product team and manage the process (if a need arises).
  • Communicate market and customer requirements to the global product management team for OEM and custom products.
  • Participate in APM cross–functional organizational task force(s).
  • Anticipate, coordinate and respond to competitive environment and initiatives.
  • Mentor distributor reseller by way of joint calls, on-boarding practices and strategic selling techniques related to consumables and equipment businesses.
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain accurate and current records
  • Manage sales activities in a cost-effective manner
  • Submit call reports and contact information (after each business trip)
  • Submit T&E reports
  • Update Sales Pipeline status on a regular basis (if there is any) 
  • Provide monthly territory update (if a need arises)
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
  • Each employee is responsible to manage their departments and perform their defined tasks in order to comply with and maintain the sites’ ISO 9000/1400 certification and all regulatory requirements and is expected to shut down the operation and notify management if questions regarding compliance or other issues requiring additional attention arise.  Regulatory requirements include, but are not limited to cGMP’s, EPA, OSHA, DEA, DOT, and any other applicable local, governmental and company guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  BA or BS degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering / Engineering /Life sciences/ Biology.

Experience:  Minimum of 5 years sales experience

Skills/Qualifications:  Strong fluency in chemistry or related Science degree

Skills/Competencies:  Solution selling, negotiations skills, managing major accounts

Other Skills:  Excellent communication skills

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

  • Reports to Sales Manager, Taiwan
  • Sales budgets are established and tracked based upon net sales into the account managers territory agreed upon at the beginning of the fiscal year.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

40-60% travelling may be required as part of job. (within the designated country)
