Job Description
Join our dynamic team at our yard in Long Beach, United States, as a Forklift Driver! We're seeking an efficient and detail-oriented individual to play a crucial role in our daily operations.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the recycling yard
- Accurately sort and organize recyclable materials according to established procedures
- Perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to supervisors
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and meet daily goals
- Assist with loading dock operations as needed
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and processed
- Participate in regular safety training and meetings
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification preferred but subject to complete a forklift skills assessment.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a recycling or industrial setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items regularly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of recycling industry practices (preferred)
- Loading dock experience (a plus)
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Commitment to environmental sustainability and recycling practices
Additional Information
Pay starts at $19/hour.
