Job Summary:
Performs routine and complex duties in support of library patron needs and library management goals under minimal supervision. Supports the development of policies, procedures and tools to advance library mission and goals.Job Description:
- Resolves library-related issues, answers complex questions, and provides information on non-routine library services to individuals or groups based on set material or standards.
- Maintains internal and external partnerships to advance the goals of the library program.
- Makes recommendations for improvement to the development of library policies and procedures.
- Incorporates improvement recommendations into existing services based on feedback and institutional needs.
Job Responsibilities:
These are duties that will be performed as part of this position.
- Processes collections according to established standards.
- Participates in the curation of basic exhibits and assists with complex/advanced exhibits.
- Creates, updates, and manages detailed and complex records in spreadsheets and databases
- Maintains quality public services provided to library users.
- Digitizes manuscript and photographic materials according to established standards
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Other Requirements:
- Physical Requirements:
This position may require the handling, transporting, and relocating of materials, including boxes and archival collections, weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Visual Requirements:
This position requires the ability to review, process, and interpret printed and handwritten materials, including cursive writing, as well as information displayed on computer screens and other documents, with or without reasonable accommodation.
