Virgin Orbit is a US-based space launch company that aims to revolutionize the launch industry by providing flexible and affordable launch capabilities for small satellites. It was established in 2017 as a subsidiary of Virgin Galactic, another spaceflight company. Virgin Orbit uses a unique air-launch system, called LauncherOne, which enables the rocket to be launched from a modified Boeing 747 aircraft at high altitude.
