The birth of Timex Group was no case of happenstance; the inspiration and the aspirations were all seeped in as early as the 1920s, when a successful textile business proprietor paved the way for his grandson Mr. Chapsi Galas vision. A vision to lay the foundation of a business empire set to rule the future. In the year 1985, armed with years of expertise in the wholesale trading of Plywood, Mica and Veneer, Mr. Chapsi Gala established his very own brand Timex. High production quality, extensive usability and competitive pricing translated into instant success in the market for brand Timex. State-of-the-art plants for manufacturing commercial and marine play, black boards and flush doors were set up soon enough to take the success to newer heights. The enterprise was ably supported and sustained by his brothers, Jagshi Gala, Suresh Gala and Mahendra Gala. The 1990s was a point in time when the Group decided to spread its wings and chose to diversify into a virtually untapped market in
