KIPP NYC is the family of all KIPP programming in New York City , KIPP Academy (founded in 1995), KIPP STAR (2003), KIPP AMP (2005), KIPP Infinity (2005), and KIPP to College (2001). KIPP is designed to teach our students to develop the academic and character skills necessary for success in high school and college, to be self-sufficient in the competitive world beyond, and to build a better tomorrow for themselves and us all. KIPP NYC currently serves over 1,400 KIPP students and alumni, employs over 130 remarkably talented and fun people :), and has a combined operating budget of nearly $16 million. By 2010, KIPP NYC will include six schools, over 2,700 students and alumni, over 150 employees, and a combined operating budget of greater than $23 million. KIPP New York, Inc. was created in the winter of 2005 as the fundraising umbrella for all KIPP programming in New York City. Ideally, all gifts are made in an unrestricted fashion to KIPP New York, Inc. The Board of KIPP New York, Inc.
